Summary Description
This finance position will work directly with the general merchandise and parts & accessories teams, as well as business management, in order to establish the required reporting and business metrics to manage / track businesses, dealership and store performance. The position will analyze business, store and category results, as well as forecast expected results in each of these areas while working in conjunction with the teams, while identifying risks and business improvement opportunities.
This position will also focus on the identification and improvement of processes, controls and practices in these areas of focus.
Daily work is performed independently, and is subject to review by the direct manger, CFO, General Merchandise Management and business senior leadership.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
1 Business reporting and metrics
Establishing reports and metrics that will be utilized to at the business, store and category level in order to gauge performance, opportunities and risks.
Maintaining the documentation and the performance of the required analysis in order to understand what is driving the reports / metrics.
2 Financial Analysis and Support
Prepare, review and distribute report and modeling in order to drive business decisions, improvements and actions.
Perform detailed analysis of business opportunities and risks, along with the development of action items from the analysis.
Perform labor costs and sales per hour analysis by store.
3 Business process and system improvements
Review processes and controls in order to identify opportunities / gaps.
Review the balance sheet for the businesses supported in order to analyze key drivers and opportunities for process improvement.
Develop best practice documentation for dealership / store practices.
4 Decision / Scenario analysis
Analysis of business decisions (sales promotions, etc.) in order to understand the impact on the business results, as well as performing a post mortum analysis as to the actual impact.
Performance of scenario analysis with regards to the impact on the financial performance of the business with a key focus on margin and discretionary spending.
5 Other Duties
Analysis of inventory / supporting metrics in order to identify overstock, availability and aging issues.
Ad hoc analysis as required.
Qualifications & Job Requirements
Four year college degree, with a major in accounting / finance is required.
Two years or more of relevant experience, with a track record of business analysis and impact modeling.
Retail business experience highly preferred.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Proficiency using a database management program such as Microsoft Access.
Experience in process improvement practices and disciplines.
