Job Description
The Director, Brand Management will lead a key external-facing function responsible for the strategy, development, implementation, and analysis of this Company's branding and advertising programs in the US, targeting customers and other key external stakeholders. The successful candidate must possess a strong background in brand development, a deep understanding of the evolving online world, a keen ability to analyze metrics and draw actionable conclusions, excellent communications and presentation skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. This position manages individual contributors specializing in the areas of Branding/Advertising, Online Media Strategy, and the Executive Briefing Center. Director-level position, reports technically to VP, Communications USA, and functionally to the global VP, Customer Communications.

Responsibilities include
- Employ, direct, manage, train and reward communication professionals and mobilize a team to deliver best practice brand communication.

Drive the overall Healthcare corporate branding and customer communications strategy for the US as well as make strategic recommendations concerning global corporate advertising opportunities.
- Analyze and mobilize relevant media in the communication mix to most effectively influence positive perception and call-to-action by external target audiences in the US.
- Spearhead implementation with new digital media, and serve as expert consultant to marketing communications specialists.
- Drive US-specific, holistic approach across product lines to campaigns, programs, website, etc.
- Govern US advertising budget / determine optimal allocation of advertising and media spend.
- Develop media strategies and media mix (print and online) for the US.
- Develop, interpret and ensure compliance with brand standards - ensuring that ‘look & feel’ conform to Company's standards (one voice, one face, one message).
- Collaborate with counterparts at Company's USA, global, and US marketing teams to develop high-level brand messaging (overall company, C-level, solutions-level).
- Employ external partners to support the professional realization of relevant projects.






Manage the Executive Briefing Center – staff, venue, “experience”, processes, metrics.
- Continuously “reinvent” the EBC experience via Company-brand messaging & design refresh, relaying the entire portfolio and trendsetter industry position.
- Continuously improve EBC customer/prospect visit via compelling messaging, interactive displays, relevant agendas & speaker scheduling, etc.
- Drive the EBC as a critical metric-oriented sales accelerator.

- Actively participate as a contributing member of Healthcare Communications USA management team .
- Manage an established department budget; collaborate with Group Controller to ensure proper financial practices are adhered to within team; maintain processes ensuring transparency.
- Leverage industry knowledge and relationships to implement innovative approaches and achieve best possible outcomes.
- Drive quality and creative approaches.
- Perform follow-up to measure effectiveness.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field. 10+ years of Marketing/ Communications experience. Strong operational and business acumen. High attention to detail. Proven ability to drive productivity measures gaining operational efficiencies. Experience managing, motivating, and developing staff. Strong project management skills and attention to detail. Superb verbal communications skills. Ability to work well in matrix organization. Experience in collaborating globally, managing global projects with international counterparts.

Desirable:
Experience in healthcare field preferred.
Travel - position requires approx 20% travel.

Compensation
$130K-$150K + 20% bonus and incentives
