Compensation: Highly competitive based on experience and skills
The Franchising Accounting & Business Analysis Manager will be responsible for ensuring the Company manages its financial activities accurately, reliably, timely, and according to GAAP accounting standards by supervising the accounting staff. In addition, the position will provide business analysis for the CEO on the financial results of corporate and franchisee sites in the network and lead unit economics improvement to enable profitable growth of the network. The Finance & Accounting Manager will assist the CFO with all financial activities of the Company including preparation of financial reports, budget process, franchisee benchmarking, coordination of fiscal year end activities and working with internal and external auditors. Reports to Chief Executive Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise accounting staff (currently two roles):
o Accounts Receivable / Cash Collections
o Payroll and Benefit Administration
o Compilation of corporate site business results & franchisee financial benchmarking
o Corporate site start-up capital and financial system processes
o Financial processes related to the sale of corporate sites to franchisees
o Franchisor Support Systems supplier portal, compliance with FDD, etc.
Create useful management reports and business analysis on the financial performance of corporate and franchisee sites and influence improved performance at the site with the data
Assist with the accumulation and consolidation of all Franchisor related financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of Franchisor consolidated business results
Coordinate the annual budget and revenue forecast process
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Plan, organize, and coordinate the year end close process with external auditors
Evaluate and assess the accounting software and supporting databases, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in business administration is required, a CPA and/or MBA is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in finance & accounting position. Experience in the franchising industry preferred. The successful candidate must be highly ethical and bring the utmost level of integrity to the company, as well as possess the following skills and personal characteristics:
Excellent knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices
Ability to apply knowledge of internal control concepts and experience to designing and executing business work processes
Ability to analyze business information and reports, draw conclusions, and influence using data
Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team oriented environment
Must be a self starter, detail oriented, flexible and able to work in deadline driven environment
Must have capability to work collaboratively within a multi-functional organization and with external third party vendors
