Job Description
This job opportunity is for an Operating Expense Analyst/Consultant (OPEX) in Panama, but the individual will support the Public Marketing team globally. The primary responsibility for this analyst is preparing/analyzing the OPEX budgets and preparing material for both forecast and operational reviews. As part of the budgeting process, the consultant will gather input from various members of senior staff, analyze historical trends, segmentation, and scaling targets. The position offers opportunities to make recommendations for OPEX savings that are consistent with the segment's goals. Consolidate and submit requirements for facilities space planning. On a weekly basis, track and provide updates on segment headcount trending. Regular ad hoc analysis, cross-charge analysis, and P&L sensitivities are also required.
This analyst will need to participate in monthly accounting close activity which includes variance analysis, communication with accounting team and to-go analysis based on actual results. As part of OPEX management/control and ensuring expenses are submitted against appropriate cost centers, this analyst will be responsible for approving headcount requisitions, on-line OPEX requisitions, as well as any other OPEX related approval work flows.
Qualifications
? Prefer Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting (or Bachelor's degree and Masters in related field) with at least 5+ years of relevant experience.
? Very strong system/spreadsheet skills using Microsoft Excel is also a requirement since the data is managed, shared and used through Excel and Excel Add-in spreadsheets.
? Experience with planning systems including Hyperion and Oracle preferred.
? A strong background in forecasting, Accounting, and variance analysis is required since the position will require analyzing results & making recommendations to the management team as well as insuring the integrity of the data.
? This person must have very strong ability to deal with ambiguity, drive for results and interpersonal skills.
? Candidate must demonstrate ability to summarize and present information in a concise and clear manner for executive review and approval.
? Strong written and oral English Communication skills a requirement.
