Position will provide financial support and guidance to a Strategic Business Unit or similar group of functions (Procurement, Logistics, etc.). Reports to Vice President Finance.
Position Responsibilities:
Analysis:
Actively involved with analysis projects within the group, either on an assigned basis or self initiated. Principal focus should be on cost reduction initiatives.
Position consolidates and analyzes information (financial results, financial bridge, scorecards, etc.) to identify trends, or issues within the group.
Reporting / Communication of Results:
Position develops scorecards and reporting to ensure understanding of financial status within the group.
Position communicates financial status as frequently as required / as applicable to the measured area. (daily, weekly, monthly, etc).
Planning / Forecasting:
Position will lead the forecasting and planning cycles for their respective group (Quarterly Budgets, Annual Plan, Strategic Plan).
Financial Control:
Position is responsible for ensuring adequate financial controls are in place and are being followed within all facilities within their group. Position will certify to these each quarter as part of Sarbanes-Oxley act.
Managing / Coaching:
Position will manage direct reports as assigned to achieve the above goals / goals of the group.
Position acts as mentor for Facility Controllers within their assigned area or group.
Required Educational Background:
Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
CMA, CPA, MA, or MBA preferred.
Required Experience Background:
5-10 years with demonstrated achievement / results.
History of increasingly responsible positions within the accounting / finance function.
