Position Summary Outstanding opportunity to lead the global IT organization of this exciting and fast growing consumer products firm. VP will coordinate all global information systems activities, including design, programming and procedures to support multi-functional, local, regional and world-wide business needs. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Position Responsibilities
1. Develop a culture of excellence and customer service within the IT organization, to become a value-added business partner to the global team. 2. Develop a long-term strategic IT plan that is aligned to support the identified Company’s strategies and initiatives. 3. Work closely with cross-functional business leaders to understand their system needs and leverage technology to create a sustainable competitive advantage. 4. Leverage Company’s Global SAP ERP system to drive business process optimization. 5. Increase the availability and usefulness of data for coworkers, while ensuring an appropriate balance with system security procedures to protect business information and maintain Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. 6. Proactively identify emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and deployed within the Company. 7. Provide functional guidance and counsel to the executive leadership team related to the examination and definition of objectives for existing or proposed systems, and in the design of improved information systems. 8. Keep abreast of technological changes and innovations in the information systems field. 9. Ensure the global IT team develops and implements a systems training program that enables all coworkers to maximize their contribution to the Company. 10. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate a global staff of 30+ coworkers, in more than 8 locations worldwide.
Required Experience 1. A minimum of a 4-year college degree, preferably in IT. Post-graduate degree preferred. 2. A minimum of ten (10) years prior related experience is required. 3. Previous experience leading a global organization-wide or significant division multi-country information technology function. 4. Experience working in an SAP ERP environment – significant experience implementing SAP environments is preferred. 5. Experience in strategic planning and execution, contracting, negotiating, and change management.
