Job Opening — SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER - JAPAN

We seek a Senior Finance Manager to be a key financial partner supporting the Japan Operation team and Japan Direct Sales team located in Tokyo.

As our business grows in Japan, the Sr. Finance Manager will play a key role by:
• Analytical support for Japan including the Product Manager and Marketing Manager.
• Identify, analyze and drive growth opportunities for Japan.
• Identify, analyze and drive opportunities to reduce costs within Japan.
• Forecasting & reporting profit/loss.
• Business case analysis of new programs and proposals including expansion into new markets within Asia and India.
• Represent the business with key stakeholders within Japan including Retail, Operations, Merchant Services and their Finance teams.
• Gather competitive intelligence and participate in local pricing analysis.

Requirements and Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s or equivalent degree from an accredited university in business, finance or related field and an MBA from a highly regarded business school.
• 5+ years of Financial Leadership experience in an organization with world class processes.
• Local hire (non-expat) based in Tokyo.
• Advanced analytical and strong modeling skills.
• Solid understanding of Finance principals and concepts along with Accounting / Internal Controls.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with emphasis on meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to present ideas to a group of senior level managers.
• Strong technical ability with Excel, knowledge of Cognos and Oracle Financial is preferred (knowledge of SQL, and Essbase not required, but helpful).
• Some travel will be required.
• Applicants must be fluent in Japanese to be considered for this position.
